Best short throw shifter

Hi, I'm tired of the stock shifter making me feel like I'm driving a truck. What do you guys suggest for a '98 5-speed ? I heard the courtey nissan short throw isn't very good. Do you guys have any suggestions on which brand and where i can get a good deal for them ? Also, are they difficult to install ? Thanks !

I love my B&M. Custom Maxima also sells one just like it. It sits a little farther forward than the stock shifter but I have grown to like that. Definately gets rid of that rowing the boat motion of the stock shifter.

Stillen Rules all. Definitely a shorter throw than B&M.

I have a B&M (just got it so it's not in the car yet...this weekend hopefully), but it looks to be of very high quality. I thought custom maxima sold a pacesetter (which is adjustable)? The courtesy shifter that you've heard bad things about has been discontinued I believe. They now have a shifter that is evidently virtually identical to the B&M (except a bit cheaper). There is a GD for the B&M in the works for $125-130 shipped that I was going to get mine through until I found one used. I think Ceasar got the courtesy and he seemed pleased so that might be a good choice as well.

B & M all the way dude! its so easy! and with my momo **** it feels awesome. Def. a good upgrade. Im in love with it. It took me about 5 minz to get used to the shifting. and only bad thing is its alittle loud.. like when i shift or i bang onthe shifter with my fist its makes a loud noise.. Like its hitting a piece of metal... Prbly heat shield or something. But no biggie.

B&M here for 1 year now and I love it.

The NEW Courtesy shifter is modeled after the B&M...the OLD Courtesy is like the Pacesetter and was crap.

Well, the throw IS shorter, because he shortened the lever. Technically, the throw is shortened.
