Hey guys, I just recently had a magnaflow muffler put on my 96 maxima. Sounds great, but I'd like it alittle louder. I dont know much of anything about exhaust, people speak about 'Straight piping' alot. What is straight piping exactly and is it possible to straight pipe my maxima while keeping my magna flow muffler on ??? Also, if anyone has any URL links to any exhaust help pages containing info and explanations about straight piping I'd really appreciate a link. Thanks alot.

i would just take it to a muffler shop and have them make you a custom catback exhaust setup that is 2.25 or 2.5" whichever you prefer. that will make it loud and deep

just make sure its resonated... well... i think that would sound better anyways

 

yeah get a new catback with no resonator and probley change out to a new muffler

 

no need to change the muffler, the magna flow muffler i had was 2.5" all the way through, with a matching 2.5" catback, you car will be super loud and deep, a nice growling sound

dont get a straight pipe. i dont think it will give you any more power.
