98...ECU P0450, and P1446...starting problem
The engine will start normally most of the time, but occasionally refuses to start (4-5 times in a row). The engine turns over normally, but no fire. The only codes stored are P0450 and P1446, both dealing with the Evap. system. I don't think this would cause the starting problem, will it?? If not, what is causing the starting problem? Thanks in advance.

Just a shot in the dark here - but how old are your plugs? How many times do you let it turn over before you quit cranking?
Other idea - fuel pump.
Sorry, I have not had this happen but I am curious as to what it might be.

The plugs are originals...60k miles....You can crank the car for ten seconds or longer and it will not fire when it is having problems. Then randomly it will start immediately and run fine...so I don't think it is the plugs.
