5th Generation HP in a 4th Generation?

How can I get the equivalent horsepower of the 5th generation maxima, 222hp, from a 4th generation, 95-96 maxima? What specifically did Nissan do to accomplish this and can I do the same to my 4th gen? If so, how?

Thanks yo!

Y-pipe and an ECU upgrade should put you close to 222hp at the crank.

I got mine from Technosquare; it's good for about 12whp so figure 15 at the crank (20% auto drivetrain loss)

with some money you can accomplish this feat easily with an ecu upgrade, vi, and maybe a upgraded exhaust.

I would think the VI and ECU would be good for more than 222 peak hp. I mean, most of the 5th gen power gains come from the VI.
