stone racing headers and y-pipe kit

I've seen these on VQpower and now a store seller is selling them on ebay. They are both stainless steel and tig welded, i can get the set on ebay for $310. Should I go for it? or just get a y-pipe from budget?

I've heard that the gains from headers on a maxima arn't very amazing, but after looking at those dyno runs on VQpower.com, i'm starting to wonder...

i asked about these before, and people say those headers are pretty close to stock size. not much gains at all. definetly not worth it.

My dynos weren't fake.

The gains are maybe 2hp over what just a ypipe alone would do. For $170 you can possibly get a Warpspeed ypipe...but I don't know if they're being sold that cheap anymore. Even if the combo is for $310 it isn't worth the time or money it would take you or a mechanic to install.

Just my 2 pennies.

waist of money, only advantage is you can claim to have a complete aftermarket header back exhaust.

oh and they are another peice of shinyness under you hood.

just trying to help you out bro. for this is why we are on the org. to help eachother out. just hate to see a maxima buddy waste his money on something that wont even help. well....either way, its your money. but if i was you, i'd rather save that money for the 7 hundred dollar header, and get 10-15 hp rather than $310 dollars on a fake dyno that no one proved that it will give you any gains. from what i remember, someone from the org, a while back bought those. he did a dyno on his car before and after, and he actually showed loss of 4 hp on headers alone. think about it.

I don't even have a y-pipe so I think it will be a gain anyway.

Read my post further up the page before you start spouting hp losses and fake dynos.

Torgus's friend, the 1st prototype, may have lost hp. I gained 2hp over what a normal ypipe would have given me. But I didn't pay $310 for the header/ypipe combo...

I am definitely not 'for' getting the headers and I don't tell anyone they should. I just wanted to point it out that you have incorrect info.

There is nothing wrong with the headers. you don't lose power. all your doing is adding some chrome and you can say you have a header back aftermarket exhaust. for the price it's not a bad deal. it's only a bad deal if you are paying someone to install cheap basically useless headers...bah. buy them and give us lots of dyno #s and dyno graphs make sure you get it all on disk.goto the same shop. do 3 dynos each time yadda yadda yadda
