simple question

Hey guys, i was just thinking about painting either my wheels, or calipers..is there paint you can buy that won't chip with the weather/salt from the road and stuff? or is it just inevitable that the color will just not last forever and eventually chip or wear off? Thinking of painting my wheels black. thanks for the input.
