For those who were interested in a Clear Spoiler Led.

A guy in my town offered me $100 for my spoiler led (apparently they are over $200 at the dealership)

Got the idea from someone that had done this before (don't remember his .org name), bought this one & sold my stock one to the guy.

Our led's have 3 holes for screws, and this one has 4 so I had to grind them all down & use 3M double side stick tape to mount it.

The led is about an inch shorter than our stock one so you lose about half an inch on each side when you align, it maybe even less than half an inch on each side. But it's hardly noticeable...

Install is very easy... I cut the 2 wires from my original, and just connected the new ones.

It definitely lights up much nicer & looks much better than the red stock one...

*it will definitely look nice on white & dark colored maximas*
mine is pebble beige so it doesn't flow as nicely in my opinion as it would on a much darker car or a totally white one.

I definitely say this is a nice, cheap mod and recommend doing it.

here is the link to where you can buy it.

I will post pictures of the installed product once I get home from work.

LED's!

Do you know where I can get the stock spoiler LED's? Is dealer the only place? 200 is a bit excessive. I cant seem to find a single place online that sells them, if anyone could direct me , it would be greatly appreciated.

they are a hard find... e-bay if you're lucky.... salvage yards is the next bet but they probably won't part it with the spoiler...
you can also get a spoiler for around $100 on e-bay that comes with the stock one and just switch that & sell the spoiler for about $50 later on without the led...

there's thee screws (when you open the trunk you can see them better) but they are on the outside of the car...right on the LED... you need to find a tool that will fit in there... i used a wrench like you use for sockets but put a phillips head on the wrench (really small wrench) and just took the 3 screws out...

Totowa!! There is a Nissan dealership that offer buy one get one free.

Buy any Nissan value $19,000 to $40,000 from year 2004 to 2005 and get a 2003 Sentra. The Sentra are either taken off a lease or rental. Info taken from a CNN.com article.

Man, buying the clear LED is no biggie. They charge $13 for the s/h. I was planning to have it replace when my LED's went out. I have an aftermarket spolier. I'm still looking if they have any brighter LED than the stock.

the clear led is brighter than stock... besides, how bright would you want it??? it's not like you look at it..... and it's just annoying to drivers behind you if it's too bright.

I just got the same LED and i did it a bit different. I cut the two inner tabs off and I used screws with the outer tabs. I had the spoiler off so it was cake to drill new holes. But the 3m tape idea is perfect.

FYI it leaks a bit!
I have a stock LED if any one wants to make an offer.

you are absolutely right. it's Rt 46 Nissan or something. that dealership has many lawsuits against them. maybe why they are offering this deal.

night pix and close ups

Note: this light has just as many LED's as my OE 98 but my OE 96 has way more LED's. Kinda wierd huh. I compared the 96 and 98 OEM lights and they are the same shape, size, conectors but they are compleatly different over all.
