GXE limited slip?
So yesterday i was on my way to get two new front tires, so i decided to have some fun
......while burning out it felt as if it had limited slip, but i thought the gxe's didn't come with it, so i disregarded it, but then i looked in my rear view mirror and low and behold there are two long tire tracks behind me...i do another two burn outs and all have two tire tracks...i have a 99 gxe(manual) i have only heard of se's with limited slip but i guess i got lucky.....

Shall I help clear the air? 1. SE's do not have LSD. 2. Your car does not have LSD. Nissan has built a good enough open diff that will lay rubber when your on even traction and level surface. The point of an LSD is not to lay two rubber lines(Though it may be cool). LSD is beloved in the racing world because it gives the driver the ability to lay power much sooner after the apex of the turn. With an open diff it is impossible to effectively lay power anywhere before the exit without wasting valuable rubber, gas and speed. On the track, an open diff makes a lot of smoke and very slow times.

I'm confused.
My VIN tag is an "A" and not a "V". When I jack it up and spin one front the other spins the opposite direction. My car is an SE. I do have slicks. And I autocross. But I don't float. Does that mean I'm a duck or a witch?

Your right JClaw, there is no need to be mean to him because he's is more ignorant than you. You on the other hand pretend to know everything and clearly know much less than the squirrel that got my tread on his forehead yesterday. And you know I'm not talking about just this thread right?
BTW, slicks can spin too. Why don't we compare auto-x times of Maxima's w/ LSD Street tires vs. open diff slicks. Fact is that your still gonna be spinning that single wheel even in stock power range w/ the slicks and the other car will beat you by an debateable margin. So, I don't retract my statement. D@mn newbie!
