i have a 95 maxima gxe. i have gold maxima letterings in the back with the nissan burger and also in the front. my handles were gold but they r fading to silver. does anybody know how i can get the lettering off w/ pics if possible. and if there is a polish or some that i can use to make the handles all silver. if i can get the silver ones to add would be nice

STOP! DO NOT PASS GO OR COLLECT 200 DOLLARS. If you use any type of metal polish on your door handles you are liable to eat off any finish that is on there. Then you will have something that looks alot worse than what you have now . Those handles are just plastic painted to look like metal. It is obvious that your car had the gold package. Use a hair dryer to heat up the emblems and make the adhesive easier to work with and use some fishing line and carefuly "saw" them off. Good luck

I have a 96 gxe that came with gold lettering and a gold stripe. I had it changed to Silver for like 130 dollars, because unlike most people on the org. I like for my car to have the name of it on the back. Its all about what look you are going for.

i took fishing line and sawed through the blue of the letters and the burger, then removed the remaining glue with my hands and finished the removal with Goo Gone thing, everyhting worked out very well. i think a clean *** without the letters looks much hotter, not mentioning that it looks different. i dont think you need the word maxima on a maxima, people who know about maximas will recognize it by body and not by a badge.
