300ZX rim on 4th gen max. Tire size
Anyone in here know what size tire to run with 90-96 300ZX 16 inch wheels. they are 16x7.5 . the stock tire on the Z is 225/50/R16 what size should i purchase to run on my maxima. my stock wheel is the 99 5spoke wheel which is 16x6.5 and my stock tire size is 215/55/R16. My question is what tire can i run on the Z wheel that will not run when i turn the wheel. my suspension is stock springs and struts. can i run a 225/55/R16 tire on the z wheels without any problem? or even a 235/55/R16 tire.
i have tired this post in the wheel and tire forum for a week and haven't gotten any useful replies.
help anyone?

Just put my 300ZX wheels on my Max today, with 225/50-16's, and they run just fine, albeit much noisier than my 205/65-15's (15's are Kumho HP4's and 16's are Kumho Ecsta 712's). The 225's don't seem to track real well, though, as I can feel the front and back end squirming around sideways when running a straight line and it's a little disconcerting. Just getting used to the wider tires, I guess.
I put stock chrome 16's with Potenza 730's on the Z, will find out soon if they are any quieter than the Kumho's.

Do you wanna sell your old stock 5 spokes? If so send me an email at Yotion@comcast.net.

i only purchased 2 Z wheels of a 95 Non Turbo Z. i plan on purchasing two of the stickiest tires i can find and use this for drag racing. My all season Sumitomo's aren't that great for hooking up at the track and i need all the help i can get. so i figure since the Z wheels weigh 16 pounds and i heard toyo proxes t1-s are pretty light tires. i will used this when i run at the track.
Z32 wheels are also designed to cool the brakes of the car by pulling the air over the brake assembly.
