They love the maxima

I was cruisin home last night and i realized my idle is around 600. To me that seems a lil low and not to mention my car would jump down to around 500 like i have a misfire. So on the way home i drop by autozone to see if im throwing any codes and the guy at autozone said i wasnt. Could my problem be that my idle is off and that i have to adjust it? It is almost like my idle drops to low and my car almost stalls out, but saves itself by jumping up to 700. Any one had this problem? [ it happens when im at stop lights ]

Now, pertaining to the title of the post-- I parked next to two extremely nice civics at autozone. When the guy at autozone was checking my codes, he sat in my car while the thing was reading and couldnt stop complimenting the max's comfort and style. I think he fell in love lol. He said he had an integra that was a piece and that he was gonna sell it and get a max since his car was so slow, thats funny. Not to mention the guys in the civics liked my max too. I dont have that much done to it [ i am $$ challenged ] but what is it about the max's that everyone loves so much? lol

are you 5spd or auto? if 5spd the idle speed is correct. do not raise the idle air speed. there could be something else causing it. replace the usual stuff like fuel filter air filter and use some seafoam or something.

Did you have the A/C on while you were watching the idle RPMs? The RPMs will fluctuate as the A/C compressor turns on and off.

you might want to try cleaning your throttle body. i was having that problem when i started my car, and cleaning the throttle body got rid of it. it only happened to me when i would start, though.

I've been having bad gas mileage so being lazy I went to autozone to have them run the codes... I figured my knock sensor must be dead since the check engine light hasnt come on and my fuel mileage is horrible... I asked the guy if they do it, I said yes, he looked in my car and saw the check engine light wasnt on and walked away... never put the scanner on, just went back to the store and gave me a bottle of fuel injection cleaner... I have never been so dissatisfied by a store like I was with them... they know nothing about a knock sensor, think fuel injection cleaner is all you need and talk to me like I'm a fool, not knowing I've worked on cars for the better part of 5 years and used to work in an auto parts store myself.

You know what, The like it cause they drive Hondas... A civic isnt anything great expecially if compared to the Max. All $hit aside, honda makes reliable cars... When left stock (the way they were ment to be). Granted i would never own a honda but the company does deserve some credit.

Guys, you can pull the codes yourself with nothing more than a flat head screwdriver.. its very simple.. takes 2 minutes. I actually forgot the exact procedure but maybe someone can chime in.. even go do a search on google and I'm sure you'll find the instructions.
