Trouble code 0505

I have had the check engine light on for about 2 weeks. I finally got a chance to ceck it out.. Trouble code 0505 (5 long 5short). Itried to use the Ecu Decoder but it wont bring anything up.. Anyone ever have the same error code?

0505 means theres absolutly nothing wrong....that the ecu can detect anyway -ryan

Thanks for the info..i reset the ecu and the check engine light went away .. After about a mile of driving it came back up. I ran the diagnostic and the same code came back up.

same code for like 2-3 month what happend is you get error code but after driving your ecu fixes it self and clears the real code like i had 0505 but after driving i get 0503 02 sensor is bad so drive for like a week and check or ones you get cel stop and check right away you might get your real code thats what i did
i might be wrong but thats how did it

Try going to an AutoZone and use an OBD-II scanner.

I was in a hurry when I typed that...anyway, the OBD-II scanner can pick up codes that the self-scan will not. I found 3 codes when the self-scan gave me an 0505. I had a CEL and no codes until I pulled them w/ the obd-ii scanner @ autozone. You can "borrow" them there for free by giving them your license while you use the tool.
