vibration/noise from brakes at a standstill..

i thought i posted about this earlier, but it isn't showing up now.. sorry if this turns out to be a repost..

i have a 98, automatic w about 108k. i got it w 98k and was told that the car got new brakes before i got it. for the past 1000 miles or so, the car has been doing this weird vibration/droning noise thing when i'm at a standstill.. any time i have the brakes on, like at a red light, and i go to let off the brakes and step on the gas, theres a wierd droning type noise from the brakes, almost as if they are staying on the wheel after i let off the brake pedal.. does anyone have any ideas as to what this may be? thanks in advance.
