How can you tell when a strut blows out?

Most of the time you cant feel it. Unless you got a brand new strut and it blows out your not going to feel it. Reason being, struts go bad gradually so when they do blow, you dont really feel the harshness.

Unless of course you go down under the car and notice theres fluid leaking from them

check it. you should be able to feel the harsh road if it is blown especially if you have lowering springs with stock setup.

The purpose of a damper is to control the motion of the spring. So when a damper stops working, the spring is allowed to oscillate more freely. Translation: when the dampers are blown, the car will bounce more.

Push down hard and fast on each corner of the car. Does the car rebound back up then stop? Or does the car kinda bounch up and down a couple times? A basic way to tell.

Yep as mentioned, the car will bounce up and down. Whenever you see a car in front of you take a bump and the damn thing keeps bouncing all day, it's got a bad strut or struts.
