Your car is going to be LOUD with the Greddy Cat-back and CAI. If you are going for some serious growl, then you are on the right track.

If you don't care for THAT MUCH sound, you may want to go with a quieter muffler (Dynomax superturbo is good option) and forget about the air intake. Using the dynomax will not lose you any measureable HP, because flow is more than sufficient (even if lower than the straight throughs). And you will lose 5HP by keeping the stock airbox vs. the intake. Of course, the CAI will cause losses at different end of the spectrum...

Just my two cents.

By the way, I have the WS y-pipe and am pretty happy. It's aluminized, though, so may not last as long as a SS version. WS makes a stainless version, too, but you won't get it for $160 shipped!

all aftermarket y-pipe gives you similar performance gain. go with budget SS y-pipe since its the cheapest out of all...but be aware flex section leakage in the long run. you may wanna consider warpspeed y-pipe, since they are the 2nd cheapest with good reputation.

Your car wont be loud at all w/ intake, y, and greddy sp2. I am running this combo right now and I am deathly afraid of the riced out sound. The sound is deep and refined and you can definitely feel the horsies that u freed up. I would get the warpspeed y. But if u got the cheez, just get the cattman headers. Imagine cattman headers coupled w/ the greddy sp2. Makes me wanna bust a nut thinking about it

do you have any droning noise from the Greddy since you have a y-pipe coupled with it when your on the highway. I have the Greddy SP catback, CAI, etc... i wanna get the Budget but im scared the greddy will be to loud with one especially on the highway when im driving.
Whats your opinion?

I cant notice any droning, I think it sounds pretty awesome brother. But to be honest with u, I haven't heard lots of different exhaust setups on the Max, and the Greddy SP3 is my first exhaust setup. But the WS Y-pipe does make the exhaust note a little bit raspy at WOT. But the power gain is worth it.

Just get a resonator for the cat-back and get a budget y. With the resonator it should eliminate the beez in can sound.

Exactly dude. So many people say it's going to be loud. I think it's the people that don't have it. My combo is really quite and really deep. As far as y pipes it's all the same ****. Whatever one they have on there car is the one that they will tell you is the best. I have warpspeed on one max, and a cattman and i can honesty tell you there is no diffrence. Plus with the six year waranty that warpspeed offers, who cares about paying a 160 bucks for a non stainless

Straight from the horses mouth. Warpspeed and cattman are pretty much the same. if u are like me and pay the good $$ for the one everyone says is best u get the cattman. If u want the same damn thing and are on a budget u get a warpspeed. I havent heard a bad thing about either 1. You make the call....

I see Cattman, Warpspeed, Budget referenced...What about a Stone Mountain Racing. 304SS, mandrel bent, same y transition as others.
Headers & Y pipe...299.00 ebay.

Well it seems that most of you guys haven't been around long enough to know that Warpspeed and Cattman pipes weren't that great in quality a while back. They both used to have the flex section problem.
As long as I've known about Budget, I've never heard of anyone complain about their pipes. I have nothing against Cattman but Warpspeed has a weak ploy to diss the competition to make sales. Budget pipes are just as good or better than Warpspeed.

ya well, its not "awhile back" anymore. They are quality. Budget is fine too. just dont hear as much about them as u do good reviews for the cattman and warpspeed. Although if u are on a "Budget"(pardon the pun) they are a decent Y-pipe to buy same as warpspeed.

Well the stone mountain combo looks very nice. The welds look very nice. I would venture to try these out. I dont think you would have any trouble with these. They seem like they are good quality. Let us know if you get them and how they are.

Check my previous post. I posted a link for Stone Racing equiptment.

I just picked up there header & Y-pipe combo. I was alittle skeptical of the quality based on the price, but after reviewing the product it seems to be of excellent quality. Everything is stainless steel, the flanges are fairly thick & all the bends are mandrell. Only real difference I see with the Stone Racing header design is that they are alittle shorter then the OBX & Cattman headers.

Well it sounds like this is something worth trying. If I dont go turbo for a while I will try this out. Thanks for the write up Im glad to hear my intuition was right. They looked like nice parts, so IM glad the are quality.

No problem, I think even if you are or are not set up for turbo, the headers are still a good idea. Only thing that will change with the turbo system exhaust wise is the Y-pipe configuration if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, I was pretty amazed at the quality of there products, especially for the price. I'm gonna have to submit this as the new best bang for your buck, next to a nitrous system ofcourse

Dude thats true the headers are nice and short and that might actually be good for the turbo. Your right though only the y-pipe will change cause then it will turn into a downpipe off the turbo. So I think I will do this. Thanks this is almost as good as
