There is a write up in here somewhere, I think it is in the 4th Gen how to's. It is really easy, if you are good with a soldering iron. I went to Radio Shack, and bought the blue 5 volt LED's. You need a drill with a bit the size of the diameter of the LED's. You also need some copper to remove the solder that is on the board holding the factory LED's. Basically, you remove the LED's one at a time, and replace them with the new ones. Make sure you keep an eye on which way the "arrow" is in the factory LED, as with all diodes the electricity will only flow through it one way. You will also need to cut the lead on the new LED's as they will be about an inch long, and you only need about 1/4 inch on the lead. This will work for the front switches, and rear switches only on 95-96. The rear switches on a 97-99 are different type of LED, and are a lot harder to do. You also cannot buy a 95-96 switch, and put it in a 97-99, as the wiring is different. Good luck.

Do you need to use a specific led? I went to radio shack and there are sooo many to choose from

I do not understand what you mean by thecopper and drill bit. Cant i just sit the led on top of the board without drilling a hole?

If you look inside the LED, the smallest side is the + side, you know, just in case you clipped the leads on the LED. Can you post close up pics so we can see the problems

oh, also make sure the LEDs you are using are the right voltage, if its too much, you could have blown it, and if its not enough then they wont light

check the trace runs on the bottom side of the board, it doesnt take much at all to tear them. us a continuity checker and check from each leg of the leds to the + and - power wires that go to the board.

okay, just checked the trace runs, no tears anywhere, if one led isnt mounted properly, none of them work? i dont think i heated them up too much at all....maybe im not getting power to those two wires? im just really upset now, i took my time and thought everything over before i did this mod, and still problems....cant get the led off the two rear switches....but ill handle that with the wick, or solder sucker, the only tihng that worked was the passenger side and it looks great.....i was as careful as i thought i could be, and still nothing...

by the way, i have two wires that are sort of soldered to the down "buttons" on the driver's side board for the passenger side window and driver side window....is this normal, or the previous owner actually did have the aftermarket alarm system to roll the windows down with the alarm system?
