I borrowed that for the 0702 code from the STICKIES.

i understand that and i already looked but how do i find out which one it is im not a MECHANIC nor do i claim to be so if ya could tell me anyways to check i would appreciate that and yea i have read the STICKIES so dont try to flame me im just asking a question if you guys are gonna flame me for asking a question then forget i asked dont read my post and i thought our timing was comp. controled how would i change it if it is the timing and i also think it might be an 02 sensor but i just dont know its frustrating because i just replaced the rear and i was told after that that it could be the front throwing off the rear therefore throwing a code for the rear instead i dont know im not even sure how creidible the source was i got that from but come on guys i just want an anwser and one more thing my freakin car threw a crankshaft sensor code and i cleared it and it hasnt comeback so i guess that was a fluke or something and i was wondering if my remotestart could somehow have messed with the crankshaft sensor as you can tell i dont know a lot and probably was a stupid question i just asked but idk im not sure thanks anyway for the info

The 0702 could mean you have unused fuel in your cat, could be caused by misfire (coil pack, bad plug) funky timing (knock sensor) fuel mixture non-stoich (O2 sensor, ex. leak, intake leak) Hard to pinpoint. . . I tried the vb site to see what could be causing the other code, as its not lsited in the FAQ's, but its not working properly, thats all the help I could provide. . .sorry .

0407 is the crankshaft postion sensor or circuit fault. That would be the easiest think to swap to isolate your problem. Sensor is located on the oil pan below the crankshaft pulley. Should read a resistance between 470 - 570 ohms at 68 degrees.
Haynes manual page 6-12. Good Luck!!

I knew that code looked familar.. Its about 64 dollars and one of the easiest sensors to change aside from the MAF. . .It is located behind the pass. wheel on the oil pan pretty much the only thing with a cord connected to it that faces outward toward you when looking at the wheel. The sensor is connected by 2 bolts, and you may want to try to remove the wheel to get to it so it will be easier. I replaced mine about 2 months ago.
