Lines on cams???

Lines on cams???

I dont think its anything I was just wondering why theres lines on them.. lol



notice the orange type looking line on the both cams.
I noticed them a few months ago when I was doing something in there but paid no mind.. Got curious now.

can you take cams out with out removing the timing cover?

The lines are normal. It's to indicate whether it's the exhaust or intake cams. And yes, you do need to take off the timing cover.

i have no clue about cams, beside how they work, but thats an awesome picture.

changing the oil seals for the sparkplug and teh gasket for it =)

Damn your intake manifold is so much cleaner than mine! If that hurricane doesn't throw too much rain tomorrow, I'm gonna remove my upper plenum and clean the living out of it.

Nah the first time I did it autozone gave me the wrong freakin gasket, they gave me the one for the other side, so I ordered the right one and changed that today, no more stinky burned oil smell.. I hope =)

I'm pretty sure that having a sig the way yours is, listing one mod per line, has been forbidden. Change it ASAP.
