my 99 maxima has been havin a rough idle and sputtering problem every since i put my o2 sensors in front and back. i brought the car to the dealer and he said both o2 sensors i installed were bad and that our cars dont take aftermarket sensors only stock one from nissan. i kinda believe him is this true many people have told me that nissans dont take to other than stock o2 sensors? btw, i bought walker brand off the internet.

 

I'm not sure what to believe, the o2 you bought should work because it was specically made for the max, unless its some kind of universal 02 sensor.

I think they maybe shaftin ya, all Nissan mechanics I've ran into seem to really dispise after market parts on any nissan, they say it takes away "the quality, and authenticity" of the car. maybe there just mad were getting after market parts and putting it on ourselves instead of taking it to them.
