Selling or trading the max for.....

It's time for to sell or trade the maxima and get something a little faster.
I have really been looking into the 05' Neon SRT-4. Call it "Just a neon" or whatever but it's cheap ($21k) and fast. THe max was great but you into a lot of reliability issues(tranny) when modding it hardcore. THe 4th gen max 5 speed tranny is one of the worst trannies ever. Those srt trannys are pretty much bulletproof. Also you can run into the 12's with the stock turbo. let me know what you guys think about this car.

fast car for the money but it comes down to what do you want. the maxima is a nice reliable car and it does what it is supposed to. most of us try to take it beyond the original design intentions (i.e racing the car). Get the neon. i have seen the car not too bad, decent interior, great performance car for the money. personally i would get it if that is what you want and you like it.

try out the srt-4,you will not be disappointed!
i think it can spank my max pretty easily and it's so easy to mod from what i've read.

SRT4 is a very good car. I had bought it in 2003 and drove it for 2 months untill dealer mistake came up and had to return the car (no cost to me )

Its really fast and please dont call it a neon SRT4. Its just SRT4 . Everything in it is good and stable unlike neons (which I shouldn't compare anyways) And the best part is its price.

But some advice
- buy a new one with barely any miles on it, you never know how someone might have driven it, even while test driving.
- take more care of it as far as maintenance goes - more than maxima - if you want it to last long
- careful, very low resale value

I had a yellow one which they stopped now (i think) but electric blue looks cool.

Have fun,
SP
