Only just disocvered this forum...great to see other QX owners out there.

My beloved QX (Preg 2.0 SE auto registered in Nov'96) failed its MOT yesterday in England because the front section of the exhaust (flexi pipe) was blowing. I have been quoted £400 for the front section of the exhaust....ouch! before fitting but I have contacted a scrap yard that has a T reg('99) QX from which I can have the front exhaust section for £55.
After a little research I've found this exhaust part changed in Jan'96 but don't know if it changed again before '99.

Will the '99 part fit, can anyone help?

Although my QX was registered in Nov'96 it might have sat for a while before being registered so is there anyway of confirming that my QX is definately post Jan'96?

Any help much appreciated.
