Ok, I looked at the stickies...

But, I am wondering about the oil spot. Somebody told me that it is not abnormal for a car to leak a small amount of oil.
Thanks!

Can you isolate where the leak is coming from? If you can't see where it's dripping from exactly, clean off the bottom of the engine and then look for new oil drips.

It is abnormal for a maxima to leak oil... At least, my car doesn't leak oil, coolant, fuel or what so ever...

Tell the sombody that told you it is normal that he needs a checkup for leaks in his neck.

I am going to check to see if I can tell where the drip is coming from after work. I also am going to get the code for the check engine light, too-thanks to this handy dandy site! I love the internet!

Yeah, it's not normal, but it's probably not a crisis either. Is this person the same one that drove around for years with the check engine light on?

No! lol
But, I did always drive Mazdas before this Chrysler and Nissan-and they have a MAJOR problem with the check engine light being on. More than a few times I paid $60 some dollars for them to run a diagnostic on my car to tell me that nothing was wrong! So, with some cars that light just comes on without a problem.

Autozone or Pepboys, they run the codes for free.

Actually, no.

But, since you've read the stickies here, you can now diagnose the light on your own car for free.
