general suspension upgrade

hey everyone, i have a 98 maxima gle, and i am finally in a position to do some upgrades (well, i already have the polarg euro-white bulbs, but you know what im getting at). i was interested in the suspension first, does anyone have recommendations on brands of shocks and springs? ive done some checking already and the tokico brand looks good, but since this is a maxima only board, i wanted your thoughts as well! yes, this is my first post, so be nice to the noob! haha...but seriously, thank you in advance for any advice you can give me.

Are you interested in lowering or keeping stock height? If you want to go lower, what kind of roads do you have?

I cant stand people who say.. my sprint Tokico HP combo rides great! Yea cuz you live out in the middle of nowhere and have no potholes. Here in NYC having a lowered car sucks, you have to slow down every other steet to avoid them.

i live in minneapolis, so its city and freeways. good roads, not too many potholes at all. how low do i want to go? ummm well i would like to lower a bit, how far? dont know. since im new to this whole mod thing, thats why im here is to get opinions. from my experience the stock handling sucks so i would like to just upgrade shocks n springs, get the rear antisway bar, drop the car and of course new wheels and tires are part of the eventual plan.

The lower you go the worse the ride even with adjustable struts

Hands down the most comfortable spring is H&R, however it has the least amount of drop.

Tien S Techs are a very very low and nice drop... which I personally recommend the most.

As for struts, if your going to lower your car get KYB AGX or Tokico Illumina struts.

Right now I'm running B&G springs which are pretty soft and a real nice drop however I have KYB GR 2 struts that are blown... which = a sucky ride.
