I'm trying to replace my speakers in the backseat and I couldn't find a tutorial on how to remove the rear brake light.

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

It is attached to the rear dash cover. To take it out you have to remove the back seat. Go to http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereor...Max96RSpkR.htm for instructions for removal. It says it covers the "Bose" system but whether it is Bose or not the instructions to get to the speakers are the same.
Nissan made it a pain to remove any of the speakers. Everything seems to be a little harder to work on with this car compared to others I have had.

 

Thanks for the reply. I've read this tutorial but it doesn't say anything about having a rear brake light and how to remove it.

From the pictures provided in the website it looks like they have a Maxima with a spoiler and no rear brake light.

 

it's probably an SE then, I don't have an upper brake light inside the car, just on my spoiler
