Tar on tires, help please!

I drove over a newly paved(still sticky) road without knowing it. Now I found all of my tires covered with a thin layer of tar and all kinds of road crap that sticks to it. Anyone experienced this before? Is it gonna fall off by itself over time, or after rain, or after I spay something on it? Any advice would be appreciated.

in the construction industry they use diesel fuel to take off any asphalt that sticks to objects, you migh twna tto brush on some diesel and try that (i work with asphalt and roadways frequently)

Use WD-40 that will take off the tar and is safe for the rubber and paint. I have been using it for years.
