I replaced the wrong o2 sensor, yea so im getting that code... still


BUT , i went to autozone to make sure, and they said i had the o2 sensor (p0138)AND p1605 code, which they couldnt tell what it was.


Anyone know what p1605 means?

 

P1605 = 0804 = A/T Diag Comm Line.... I don't have a way to host the pic. of the FSM page - PM me your email address and I'll send it to you... or if anyone else can host it, I can email it to them.

yea got the email, but i cant open pdf files =( thanks anyway, I just really wanna know if its an actual part broken and important/expensive to fix?

 

Download acroread from http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html for FREE... open the PDF and see if it makes any sense to you... the bottom line, as I already stated in the email is that your ECU and TCM were unable to communicate over that particular line (Diag Line). You can reset your ECU and see if the code reposts - if it does, then that line might be broken/disconnected or come loose from one end of the harness.

If the FSM info. doesn't help you diagnose or debug the problem further, you may want to take it to your favorite mechanic.

Bump, I'm still looking for some help. NJMODI if you still have that pic let me know and send it to me.

In relation to this code, I changed my old battery to a 1000 Amp 875 CCA Battery. I got it pretty cheap at Walmart for $58 and no exchange.

What I notice now is that my automatic goes into Park, Rev, Neutral, and Drive Okay, but the 2nd, and 1st doesnt seem to click in. Is this what should happen? I dont remember I should feel a change from D to 2 to 1.
