Please help me, problem with the pickup/shifting

Hey guys, anyone had this problem:
when I drive the car, and a little before it gets to 40 miles per hour, while pressing gas pedal, the car feels like its not going to shift to the next gear, but then while I continue holding the gas pedal (maybe pressing harder), it jumps from 1000 rpm to 3000 rpm right away like a sluggish quick pull (like u feel it pull powerfully), and then on it continues to drive normally. But noticed around less than 40 mph it gets this way. However, in my car there is a button on the automatic shifter, that when I press it, it has yellow light "O/D OFF" display (overdrive i guess), and this problem doesnt repeat. I have'nt changed transmission oil in long while. could this be the cause? (88k miles and never changed the fluid of transmission- but then again I put like 50k miles per year so it all goes by quick - gonna do it tomorrow though). Please tell me what's wrong.
Thank you all.
By the way, I got knock sensor and egr hi lo flow codes on. I cleaned throttle body and no help.

Hmmm I never had this problem before though (I once turned off all the meters on the dashboard through fuse box and drove for like 50 miles - car was stalling twice until I put the fuse back in -> dont ask why but was just testing something out After that I think this problem started... But its a long freaken shift change and it feels like the car wont shift any higher but then it just goes boom straight from 1k rpm to 3k rpm and proceeds normally

very strange...

what's a tps sensor? and how could I detect if something's up with it. I checked the engine check light code myself but all I get is knock sensor and egr hi/lo flo which those inbred nissan dealership in my area couldnt figure out how to fix (though they knew how to take my money)... after having my car in their shops for long periods... gave up on that one too
hmmmm though I m friends now with nissan manager of another dealership that gets me parts for dealer prices and does good job detecting and fixing ****... but I didnt ask him about this problem yet...

With respect to EGR hi/lo flow code, I had this code along with the knock sensor code for a month..I replaced EGR solenoid valve and my problem went away.

How to troubleshoot EGR problems.

so the faulty solenoid valve caused the knock sensor code to light up? I had this egr hi/lo flow for like 8 months... i believe they changed this valve i cant hardly remember anymore...they changed the 6 engine coils and egr valve or something... hmmm, but the thing is still showing
