car will be going along just fine...runs great ...gets great milage... THEN CEL comes on... and milage goes to garbage but car RUNS perfectly... code says...knock sensor... and, i suppose that when engine thinks its knocking it kicks the timing back and the milage goes away... so... is it possible to bybass the knock sensor ... disconnect it, take it off the block etc,.. also... would like to get factory workshop manual for this car...not haynes,,,factory...for a 97...anyone got one ?
