New wheels, new drop, new pics....(56k possible warning)

Well i got some Rota Subzeros a few weeks ago and i finally put on my new sprint springs on sunday. After i had them all installed the @ss was way to high. i pulled the rears out again and cut one dead coil off each of the rear springs, then put them back together. Results are almost perfect. it still has an ever-so-slight rake, but IMO it's perfect.

The Pics...

Let me know what you guys think

Wow, car looks great with the new wheels and drop. I've always loved Rota Subzero's. good choice in going with the 18's.

what do you mean to ow to handle well...it handles a heck of alot better than it did. i've hit the bump stops a couple times if that's what you mean, but as far as ride, it's not that bad. people who have never ridden on sprints have no clue. they suck a little going slow if the roads are really sh!tty, but once you're up to normal speed it rides no different than my dad's stock 2000SE...until you get into the corners then it handles like it's on rails...

thanks though

with his new tires and that drop his car handles high speed curves close to as well as my buddy's Z06. - it really surprised me.

I've had Sprints, Eibachs and H&Rs. The H&Rs handle the best by far.

mzmtg - OK i concede, but with the 18's i would prolly still look 4x4'ish. i'm not going to doubt you since you've had both, but it rides really well to me.

Sorry missed the post earlier...they're rice APC 1157 superwhites...they're not modded either, they're actually pretty damn bright.

well if you're a 5spd then i understand, otherwise it looks like a RWD muscle car...alljacked up to help fight lift-off, lol.

I got the wheels from Urban Import for 580 w/o tires...ended up getting tires from Mike as well though...

Those were my wheels of choice a while ago when they had the GD on the org for 450 US shipped for the 18x7.5's.

Is your car automatic or manual? I want to know why it sits so nice and low infront. Did you notice any sagging or any worst handling when you cut a dead coil off in rear?

took a little ride tonight on the bumpy roads here in raleigh, and it really does ride nice unless you're going real slow, then it's a bit bumpy...

didn't need spacers in the rear, if i did my tires would rub the lip on inside of the fender...did you? i may get like a 5mm spacer up front so i can use the BehlmCo BBK...it so close to fitting and 5 mils would prolly work.

yeah mine would not fit on the center hub, so spacers were required. whats your size/offest and center bore?

LOL, didn't think anyone would tell me to lower it more I guess you were referring to the last two pics I put up...those were before the Sprints went in with cut stock SE springs (ghetto yes, but they rode great). I really can't get any lower really with coil springs, but I'm getting D2 Coilovers after Christmas I hope...I got these as part of a sale/trade for some stock 15's with crappy tires.
