Does coolant system have bleed valves?

I'm going to swap out my thermostat and put in fresh coolant this weekend, and need some info: #1) On my old Saab there was a valve you could open to purge the coolant system of air. Does the maxima have this? If so, where? #2) Do I need any special tools to access the three bolts that hold the thermostat on, or are they easily reached with straight sockets?

Thanks,

Greg

I don't think we have a bleed valve. Actually, come to think about it. I never had a Japanese car with one of those. I seen them mostly on BMW and other Euros.
