can you drive w/o a b pipe?

i know im probably get flamed for this but .... trying to change my cat on my car and it was completely stuck to the b pipe, and i didnt have a torch, so i figure i part the b-pipe from the muffler and take it to get the screws removed and put it back on, but as im turnign the screw 1 snaps... crap. so i try the other one and it seems like its turning ... then snaps too.... so now i cant put the b pipe back on my car and i called meiniki and they said they can custom make one for me but i need to bring them the car and cant copy bend it with jsut the pipe itself... soemthing about fitment, so im wondering can i drive the car ~20 miles w/o the b pipe on jsut the cat?wil this do any damage to the car?

driving a car without the b-pipe is illegal and cops will beat you when they find out. Plus, it the fumes attract crackheads, and no one likes crackheads around a Maxima.

Seriously, it wouldn't do anything harmful to your car, it will just be louder and pollute more.

damn that make me feel bad for buying it never looked at it from the other point of view sorry man but i was broke and needed a computer. but you should go find one and give him a shopping list send em to a department store

Saddles its still stuck to the cat on one end and no bolts on the other end, i was gonna get a 2.5" b pipe eventually so i figure this is a good time instead of buying a torch to remove it from the cat and then drilling the 2 holes.

Yes. Trust me. My Y-Pipe got kinda destroyed, so I was pretty much running nothing after each O2 sensor. IT WILL BE VERY VERY VERY LOUD... but sound really really really good from like 4krpm up.
