Removing the plenum

I am trying to remove the plenum so i can get to the rear valve cover. If anyone has the location of the bolts on the plenum so i can take that off, that would help me out A LOT? thanks

Ahh the good ole Plenum. Most of the bolts are easily located. There are 4 that are not. 2 Support bolts on the back either 12 or 14mm. They are between the Plenum and the Firewall. Then there are 2 12 or 14mm for the EGR Valve on the back of the Plenum (these are pretty much right behind the throttlebody on the Firewall side). There is also a hose you will have to unclamp and remove from the Plenum on the back (firewall side). None of these things are any fun to get to. The space provided is for people with little hands and little arms, but with enough patience and contorting you will get it. Also, the EGR valve has a metal gasket that is very easily over looked. Make sure its in place when you reassemble. If you have a lot of miles on your car plan on some hoses (specifically the throttle body) being cemented in place. Use some plyers and gingerly twist the hose back and forth around what ever it is connected to. This is the best way to break them free. Also be careful when putting the 10mm bolts for the valve cover back on. They dont need a hole lot of torque. 10mm bolts break very easy. Not that I did that or anything.
