need help stuck !!!!!!!!!!!!!
i got a 96 max manual trans
driving down the turnpike, everything was just fine just up to the part when i was about to exit the pike. i started hearing some grinding noise i was in neutral when i heard it, so i pulled over to one of those stops on the side.
then i popped the hood to check out the noise, nothing, so i went on my way but the nosie came back. when i checked it out again it sound like gears grinding together in the trans. i just changed the starter, so i guessed maybe it got alittle lose and is touching the flywheel. when i took it out it looked fine. i find that you will only hear the noise when your foot is off the clutch, could it be a release bearing, because as soon as you let the clutch go you will hear the grinding noise.
anyone in the south jersey burlington area can help me take a look?
