1. You won't really be passing any sort of emissions test with that.
2. Your car will be louder.
3. Your car will not really be any lighter, like the ad says.
4. You won't really feel any difference, despite what the ad says.
5. You're not exactly being very kind to mother nature if you get rid of your cat.

So my final thought 'cats' have a purpose on a car, unless you are building a Maxima that is going to be a pure race car (ie being towed to the track and only run on the track) this is a useless mod. If you really want to get rid of your stock cat just buy a hi-flow cat. And even then you won't be feeling any differance.

Those are pretty much worthless. If you do get one I suggest getting a resonated one it will sound tons better. Check these and hi-flow cats out HERE .

Check your local muffler shop for pricing on installing the Magnaflow which needs to be welded in to see if there is a big price difference. You might be suprised that the difference is not as big as you think.

Also, may I ask why you are considering a catalytic converter. The only reason I would suggest getting an aftermarket cat is if yours has failed granted you fixed whatever made it fail. Your money would be better spent on something else. Trust me I've bought a few nonsense mods.

Just wanted to say that he is right, only replace your cat if yours has gone bad, rusted through whatever, because there is no power to be gained from this....mabye 1hp......mabye.

PS. I know just because I did replace my rusted through cat with a Budget Hi-Flow one and there is no change.
