IT was a simple F*cking question of quality. Thats what this board is for, and its not my fault the search doesnt work. Why bother posting anything or looking at this thread if you have no interest?

This board is full of such dlckheads

those aren't JDM. those are just 97-99 headlights with the clear corner light. You can find this same set on procarparts.com.

the corner lights sell for $40. the headlights you can find anywhere. I've seen it in person and it is quite nice...sits very flush and looks perfect. also no cutting required like the cefiros

Is there anywhere to just buy those corner ones smoked like that. I already did the AE mod to my headlights, but I love how those are cleared out and smoked.

I hear ya on that one! I also think they look very nice, just have to get new brakes, tires, and 30K service before I can lay down some money for them

I wasnt asking if they were JDM ..... I was saying "what about these headlights do you know".... Ebay called them JDM, I was mearly using the term they called them to just ask about the quality and fitment on a 96. This thread had nothing to do with whether they were or were not JDM... Thats just what the listing said on ebay. I asked about a new product. I phrased it wrong, I understood what I was talking about, no one else did... my bad. Regression from the point however.

Everyone knows we dont have "JDM" parts..unless someone here has an imported nissan on their hands, which I doubt..... Thats for the hondas of the world. I would even consider Cefiros JDM for the Maxima, yes they are from Japan, but not for the Maxima.

I ordered them, so ill post pictures soon.

The ebay page states that they are 97-99 units. Oblongshapes wanted to fit them into a 95-96 maxima....I thought there were fitment issues.?! i'm under the impression that in order to have the 97-99 headlights in a 95-96, one must do the complete 97-99 front end conversion. I am almost positive there was a fitment issue in the grill area. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Lots of people have converted 95-96 headlamps to 97-99, I haven't heard of fitment issues with them. They are the same size I believe. CustomMaxima says for the corner lamps 95-96 will have to use the factory bulb wiring harness.

I think if anything Ill have to change the grill over, and that should be it.
I dont really get what custom maxima is saying about using the factory bulb harness, thats what I was going to use anyway..... heh. I guess Im just going to have to see when they arrive. Ill do a write up. If anyone knows anything else about this 97-99 conversion on a 95-96, please post.

thanks

You don't have to change anything, the lights have the same outide dimensions as the 95-96. For the last time, THEY ARE A DIRECT SWAP. Damn.

those are simply 97-99 procarparts headlights and cleanrance corners. whoever made them painted the housing black and is now selling them for more saying they are "jdm". personally i think they did a crap job because if you look carefully, you'll notice only one side of the inner housing is painted.

those will fit 95-96 just fine with no fitment issues whatsoever. i actaully have these cheaper made procarparts ones on my car when i did a 97-99 front conversion. pics on the homepage. i blacked out the housing myself.

the quality of the parts are ok. the black plastic casing is softer and weaker and more bendable than the real nissan casing. the beam of lights is not as focused as the real nissan one. if you shined it agaisnt the wall you can see flickers of stray light beam reflection. i guess they use cheaper reflective material inside the housing and its not all aimed the same. i also had to rebend the inner bulb reflector to reaim my lights. one was bent a little too far upward. but other than that. works and looks fine.

Yes they fit fine without issues...I saw it first hand yesterday with those exact lights on the Ebay page. They look great on darker colored max's. They looked so good that I ordered them from procarparts.com this morning. I love the crystal clear corners...no lines,blurriness.....etc.
