fellow maxers. This is probably an age old question. My dad just bought a Greddy EVO catback for my mom and now im jelious. Ive been playing on getting a custom set up but im double guessing myself. I hear good about both Greddy and Apexi. What do you guys think? If anyone has either please let me know how it sounds, quality, fitmet, etc.

its a 50/50 basically... i myself have a GReddy SP2 and i couldnt be happier with it

Anyways, I though that they stop making ws for our cars. They are about equal cuz catbacks don't really yield too much power. They only are really for looks. Since you have a 98 the ws will look alot shorter since it's only made for 95-96 models. You will also have to do a couple of modification to make it fit.

I have an apexi and I really love the sound, it really compliments the car. I wouldn't change it for anything.

If the WS was still available/made I'd say get that, hands down best max exhaust to date. Since it isn't get the SP2.

 

Damn it! lol i want to hear them both. Im planning on getting the WS y pipe while im at all this exhaust work. Is that gonna effect the sound? BTW i have a 96! WOOT!

I have a greddy SP1, got it used off another memeber and had it installed this week....I LOVE the thing....the nice growl...of course I'm still stock Y pipe and may keep it that way, but it does have noticable gains over the damn stock catback me happy camper

 

DAMN NUPE!! your car has been through alot!!! its looks sweet now though. I love those wheels. What kind of HIDs are those? I get paid 2marrow and i feel the paycheck burning a hole in my pocket now! hehe

well actually her exhaust has rusted apart right after the muffler. We showed her videos of an SP2 and SP and she said she liked it? So my dad got it off ebay last night for 415$ shipped. Pretty good deal. I think what is going to happen is that mom isnt going to like it and were gonna take my dads stock exhaust off and give it 2 mom and hes gonna get the EVO And i cant be the only 1 with out exhaust so i think i need a Apexi or SP2 hehe.

 

btw i have a sound clip of the apexi ws with a ws y pipe. im me and i will be able to send it to you once i get home right now im not on my house computer.

Thanks man....the HIDs are actually E55 projectors with the Bi-xenons...just take it slow...thats what I did...

damn. i need a new exhaust system. im still running on my greddy cat back but with the ws exhaust tip. i love it, but maybe time to update now.

 

I dont know about the apex im sure its pretty cool but I do have the SP2 now on my 99 and it fits perfect and I love the sound it makes !! Its actually pretty damn quiet when you want it to be... On the freeway i bearly hear anything and same with idle.
