ok, a 1997 black maxima came into my shop today for an exhaust and brake checkup, (i have a 98 black max) anyways his car looked just like mine, mint condition, with clears, same bulbs, same everything. Then when i looked down at his wheels and touched them (the same 5 spoke oem rims) it was almost like there was clearcoat, glossy, finish over the rim. My rims dont have that clear coat and same smoothness as he did and when i asked him he said he didnt know why they were so different from mine. does anyone know what i mean? -thanks-

 

he probably just cleans them alot...maybe w/ a wheel cleaner or wheel shine...that's my take...

 

He has SE-Limited wheels. Slightly darker, and yes with a clear coating on it. These were only found on 99 SE-L models. He probly bought them used.
