Yes, this is a *true* cold air intake, which would require you to drill a hole in the fender well.

You have a 95, though, and it looks like, according to the picture, this one was made for 97-99 maximas, but don't panic. It just means you MAY have to drill a different hole in the midpipe for your temp sensor, no big deal. Who knows though, they may have CAI for different years.

My only experience with them was on Ebay a while back. I had won some gauge faces for a really cheap price (no reserve auction) I paid right away and then 2 weeks later they sent me an e-mail saying the part was no longer in stock so they refunded my money. I replied back to them that they still had many auctions listed for same product so if they are out of stock, why are they still auctioning them. I also told them they needed to provide some type of compensation because 2 weeks with my money and no contact was just absurd but they never even responded. Won't EVER purchase something from them but hey, maybe you'll have better luck. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere thoughm IMO.

I bought my clear corners from them and couldn't have been happier. I received them in just 2 or 3 days and I haven't seen a single person's clear corners that I thought looked nicer. But, as you can tell from BlazeDaze's experience, sometimes even good sellers can have bad sales (or bad sellers have good sales).

He is completely correct. I am all for giving the benefit of the doubt. It just happens that in this case, there are too many other companies to get products from and I choose to not deal with them. Who knows, my incident was some time ago and it is possible they have fixed their problems, just continue to resaerch as you are doing.

Also wanted to let you know that you can prolly find that exact kit on Ebay for less than $50.00 and just buy a K&N filter, might end up being cheaper, especially if you find a *cheap* system on Ebay. You could pick one that has the crapiest filter as long as you replace with K&N

this is the intake I have. cutting the hole is simple, people stress you need the proper attatchment. we drilled a tiny hole and then used metal snips and cut out a hole. I'd use the stock midpipe and CAI tubing to filter only

no you dont lose it. its my 3rd or forth intake set-up and so far its the best, the one described above. a CAI is just a filter on a stick so its really dumb to pay alot of $ for a brand name.

What do you think. Do these need to be wired in or do they just replace and snap in..

They slip over your existing gauges and then need to be wired in..
But I'm going to warn you, a lot of people that order those reverse gauges/glow gauges end up regretting it for one reason or another (I'm one of them), whether they just get sick of them or something went wrong in the installation, etc. But hey, you do what you want because it's your maxima.

I just ended up getting the white SE gauge cluster and installed blue LEDs and I couldn't be happier
