Hood sitting low?

I noticed when i was driving my max to the radiator place to replace my broken Heater core that the hood wasn't line up with the height of the front fenders, i would say it was about 3/4 - 1 inch lower then the fenders nearest the windsheild then almost even the closer to the front end of the car. Since it is now in the shop for a couple days i really can't look at it. Is there some type of adjustment or is there something wrong? Wish i had pics but I don't have the car right now.

Could be your hood struts, mine sat low, not that low, but when i replaced them it rose up a bit. Maybe I was just seeing things.

you can adjust the hood latch. loosen the bolts and raise it up as far as it goes and then tighten it back again. it's really easy.

edit: actually, i'm not sure if it will help on how the low the hood sits now that i think about it... do you have to apply alot of force to get the hood latches?

One way to tell if it is too low is when you pop the hood from the inside, and the hood does not completely pop up. Then you can adjust accordingly, damn nadir, that's why mine was a little higher, because the day i did that I fixed the hood pop problem i ahd been having.

It does pop up when i open it and it is easy to close. 1 thing i notice is the struts must be worn out cause the hood doesn't stay open, so could that be whats causing it to sit low as NmexMAX stated?

i don't even have struts on my car anymore. Now that I think about it, it does sit just a bit lower in the front, but nothing noticeable. Not 1 inch though for sure.

There should be two rubber support mounts at the front end corners that are adjustable - untwist them out. At least my 99SE has them.

It sits perfect in the front until about 1/2 the hood and like i said the further you go back towards the windsheild it sits lower, about 3/4 lower the the front fenders.

ya check that because i noticed that same thing the other day and i thought it was just from the ocassional leaning on my hood/fender when im tired.. it was acgtually that i was missing one of those rubber stops on my passenger side....
