Oil leaking not sure how to fix, ideas?

Noticed a small amount of oil leaking from under my max the other morning, (just small drips it seems), so I take a look and it seems as if its coming from the corded wire that runs right by the oil filter. The cord is ripped some and from what I can tell that is where the oil is coming from. I have no idea what this is for or if such a small leak is a big deal to get fixed immediately. I checked my oil level and everything is fine there, just not real sure what/how to take care of my problem.

Any from you guys/gals would be appreciated.
