Got some bad news and some good news...

Bad news is i sold my jetta a while back(shaved rear door handles, shaved hatch, full body kit full custom interior(very smooth looking))... i might try to get some pics up if anyone is interested... but lets get to the point of this forum... The Maxima. I had to sell my jetta to go to school cause i couldn't afford the payment so i sold it and bought a Maxima. One and half years later i finally decided to start on it. I just got the wheels today for it but have to find some spacers to get them to fit. Starting on some body work maybe this weekend. Since its halloween it might be next weekend. But here are the plans for the first makeover. Im shaving the rear doors and putting the rear left hand door on the right side and vice versa. So it will look like it has suicide doors that open by the door handles. Dropping it 3-3 1/2 with acura tl wheels to start off with. Havn't looked for bumpers yet. I want something classy looking that looks smooth, almost like a european style. I want people to look at my car and it not look like something that came out of HCI .. but can't really tell what kinda car it is. If i can find someone to cut my windows im thinking about chopping the top a good 3 inches. But the chopped top is gonna be a good 6-9 months before i mess with that. Now for the inside. Woodgrain the interior with the kind of woodgrain that comes in the TL's has a really shiny wierd looking wood grain. Put that on the doorskins and maybe put j30 seats in the rear. After that making a custom clock out of an old movado watch i have for a finishing touch... on the interior. Its gonna be hottt. Classy not trashy Now for the questions....

Has anyone ever did suicide doors on a maxima if so i would like for you to im me at Jettamk3@aol.com (or email)

Other than that i guess maybe tell me your input and stuff... The reason for all the TL stuff is cause i work at a Acura/Honda body shop so i get stuff at a discount. (stuff is off a 2004 TL)

i think you got this backwards. The good news is you sold that riced up jetta. The bad news is you are about to ruin a perfectly fine maxima :/

WOW, I would love to see pictures during and at the end process.

I've never heard such an elaborate plan for the max, hope it all works out well.

After doing all that, you should have a very nice car that can (hopefully) win you some shows. Post pics and keep us updated.

From what I've read to get the suicide doors you'd just reverse the latch etc, but some custom work will most likely be needed after wards but thats a good start.

you probably already knew that but just trying to help and get the ball rolling.

Well as for the rice that is expected it happened with my vw... people are scared of something different. so thats cool but here is a pic of what im talking about with my door handles. year the rear door on a maxima is so deep on the outside its alot of cutting... but getting the acura, if i got an acura wouldn't i want to do something with it? being a car enthausist i enjoy doing extreme things to my cars. So thats the plans for the maxima. But i want it to look almost like a concept car i guess. but here is a picture of the door handles....

do you think this looks like rice! (sarcasticly said)
