Installing Rear Brakes Question

Well I'm installing my new slotted/dimple Brembo rotors and AMM pads today. Fronts went fine, but the rears are a different story.

I got the caliper off and the old rotor off. My problem is the piston in the caliper. I have a 95 Factory Service Manual and it says to push the piston back in turn it clockwise. WHAT A JOKE! I took some plyers too it as shown in the picture wouldn't move a bit!

How do you guys do it? Do you turn it like that as well? I searched the How-Tos but when a broken link is in the how-tos it isn't going to help me much.

Get/Rent/Buy a piston turning tool from autozone (or whereever) - it will make it much easier. If the piston is really jammed it might be time for some new calipers.

Thank you. I was wondering if Autozone had a special tool or something.

i changed my rears and it took some force, i think my e-brake was stuck even though it was disengaged... try pulling and slamming it down a few times just to make sure... i also bleed the brakes a bit, but turns out when i was done, i had no brakes at all so i took it to nissan...

if you're doing it yourself... just bo' up on it... lol

Your caliper piston may be frozen but try a pair of needle nosed pliers... my link was relocated:
