I was on a Toyota truck mailing list and those guys where talking about a company that you send your injectors to for cleaning. I'll see if I can find out the name of the company. But I remember that they put them on a machine and flow test them before and after cleaning and send a report back with your with your cleaned injectors. I'd love to do this with my Max if I remember correctly it made a huge difference on high mile Toyotas and the guys that had it done highly recommended it. Anybody else heard of this or know where to get this done?

easiest way is to run the injector cleaner in your gas tank, a bottle or two should do it. My local parts shop recommends chevron brand injector cleaner.

if you are going to just do the pour in gas thing I would go with BG44K, if you want to remove your injectors you can send them to RC engineering and have them serviced. Or you could take it to a shop hand have them cleaned....I think thats what that link was for with the BGservice

Only two ways to clean dirty injectors.
1) Take them off and have them sonicly cleaned
2) Have the above Motorvac service performed.

the stuff you put in the gas tank might be decent preventative but that's about it. You might see minor cleaning after 2-3 tank fulls. But if the injectors are truely dirty, it won't do much unless you peform 1) or 2)

like they said, go easy: run the fuel injector fluid in your gas tank
going further, pour half a bottle of seafoam in the full gas tank, run it off. then take out the spark plugs in the engine bay: pour the rest of the seafoam directly in the combustion chamber through the spark plug holes. screw the plugs back. crank the engine and rev it up. you'll be breathing smoke like crazy. pm me if you need help, there are several precautions you'll need to make working with seafoam.

he probably gave it away because it would cost him more to get it legalized and registered here in the states than it was worth.

Run good gas in the first place.
I only use Chevron supreme with techron. I could see where my injectors cleaned my valves and lower intake manifold when I installed my MEVI.

K...let me (us) ask you this. How does fuel enter that "cumbustion chamber" that your POURING seafoam into? do you know? if you knew then you wouldnt be posting on the thread...

Fuel---->injectors---->then the magic combustion chamber

If you just pour it in there...what injectors are you cleaning? maybe your cleaning the ones the moderators who have taken their maxes apart 100s of times dont really know about yet...

You guys think seafoam will get the sand out of our vaginas?

also, i know alota BMW guys get their injectors blue printed when they get them cleaned. suposedly it smooths out the idle and acceleration.

Then again we got nissans and i dont really know if this would do any good. its only like 50 bucks to get done...

any thoughts?

don't know what exactly you mean by "blue printing" but I had mine cleaned/checked/flow balanced at RC Engineering. They cleaned them to flow right up to the max spec and got them all flowing within 3% of each other. Didn't really notice that much as the injectors were doing fine before I had them done. I had the motor out so I had the time to send them out.

I think he mentioned sticking sea foam into yer gas tank, which would run through the injectors. He also mentioned using some, directly into the spark plug holes, which is the magic combustion chamber. I think he was giving an overall recommendation.

Oh yah, JoeB, do you have a toyota truck? What kind? I gota87runner, still working great.
