Help

hey guys, i went to start my maxima this morning, and it kept stalling out. the first time i turned the key it turned on for a split second, then just died out. i tried it a second time and it did the same thing. but after that it just kept turning, i could feel it turning but the car just didnt start. it wasnt even that cold out this morning... and i didnt leave my lights or anything on. could it be the coils? help me out
thanks

i managed to get it started after playing around with it for a lil while. i dont think its the fuel pump because it doesnt smell like oil when i try to start it... could the coils be going? or i think it could be a weak battery or discharged charge system? i dunno... im gonna hafta have my friend whos an auto technician take a look at it this weekend maybe

I had my older max do that to me. Runs great, then out of nowhere...just dies, and won't start back up again....then it would start up just fine 10 mins later. Turned out, I had a hole in the distributor cap. And the spark was arcing, not reaching the wires. I know the 4th gen is set up diff...but it sounds like electrical to me.
