My girlfriends father has a 99 GLE. Her kid banged into the rear of the car with one of those annoying razor scooters. Anyway he put a crack in the plastic lense of the rear passanger tail light, (the light mounted on the outside, not the trunk). What's the best way to fix this? Is the lense replacable? Thanks

Courtesy mention Maxima.org for discount. Replace it with basic tools. Do it yourself. This should get you a few brownie points with the oldman.

rear lights

Replacement lenses can't be purchased you'd have to buy the whole housing for $100+. You might want to check any salvage yards.

Actually....

I was looking for the outer taillamps and emailed Courtesy a while back. Pete replied saying that the "tail lamp lenses sell for $77.14 (rh) and $66.49 (lh)." Plus shipping and handling, of course. I'm assuming those are prices for the whole outer section housings, but you can always call and double check.

taillights

Why not get him a converted clear and red outer tailights. That would earn you some major big brownie points. I think it's about $225 for the pair. I forgot who sells it but somebody in the forum might know.
