Either would be nice, but if I went midnight blue, I would go w/ the BMW type of midnight blue. If you were going w/ a more royal blue, I would stick w/ the blue that is on the new Z's

Have you seen the Maserati Midnight blue (or whatever they call it). Its the best blue Ive ever seen (see it in person, pictures don't do it justice). Probably would be expensive though.

Not too siked about that one ^^^

I like the 350z blue a lot, but not sure if it would look good on a max. Go with metallic neptune blue.

I'd go with the Imola Blue (I think that's the name) offered by BMW on the '01 540i's.

No..No...The R32 is just the best CAR ever... "When a Volkswagen Golf can wipe the floor with a Ferrari Enzo, we take notice. Perhaps the phrase 'wipe the floor' is a little overzealous, but when Ferrari claims a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.3 seconds for its Enzo, and American VW/Audi tuning specialists HPA hit the same speed in 3.2 seconds in a Golf, we start to drool." (http://www.streetracersonline.com/articles/hpar32/)
That kind of potential make me wonder why I haven't traded in my Maxima yet.

couldnt agree with you more... at first i didnt like it but it really grew on me. I love that color

As for the VW, thats not just an ordinary GTI, thats an R32. Drive one and you will want to get rid of your car in a hear beat. Its got to be one of the most funnest cars i have ever driven before.

I suggest you go with one of the BMW blue's. Laguna Seca blue is ok, but I really like ESTORIL blue. This is a rare color, seen on 97-99 M3's and is offered in the BMW Individual program on E46 M3's. This is a lighter blue. If you want dark blue there is only one option for you. BMW Avus Blue. I dont have pics but check out some BMW forums like dtmpower.net for the pics.

This is my buddies widebody 325. He painted it some speacial factory option color from BMW. I think it is called blue water. It looks blue or silver depending on the light.

More good pics here:

Here it is from the factory:
