no issues... there is a write up / review on the CM one... just go to vqpower.com, i think it was... gtr_rider i believe, dont want to check... you can search.

the headers arent really worth it... the only ones that are is the cattman headers, but they have only been proven to give a few more horses, not anything on the track. unless you are FI... thats a different story!

btw this is all hear say... but i try not to talk out my butt...

I agree with jdm71488, headers really wont give you much gains, especially versus a y-pipe.

I wonder how benificial it is for FI?

wait dont FI cars get their own set of new headers? (turbo specifically)

turbocharged has to run a turbo exhaust manifold because a TC is run off exhaust gases... but a supercharger is driven by belts so your headers wont be affected...

That dyno is a comparison of OEM to aftermarket.
To see a true beneficial gain, they need to do a dyno comparison of their headers and another Co.'s aftermarket y to see the true gains over a y pipe.

New headers are not required for a turbo'ed max. Only on cars that the turbo bolts directly to the manifold is it required. On turbo'ed maxes a collector runs the exhaust up front in a reverse y type thing. This piece bolts right onto the stock headers.

Headers give you a "cool sound" and maybe 2-3 hp over most y pipes for the VQ30. The VQ35 gets much better gains supposedly. A y pipe alone will give you 18hp. http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/504 It is really up to you if you want to speed the extra money and the PITA install.

Yeah most people don't run headers with either SC or turbo. A 3" full exhaust with stock manifolds (~30whp over most of rpm band)(coudn't find post that had working dyno graph) is better than cattman headers (~20 whp in a very small band). Cattmans are the only ones that look to be good quality and anywhere close to being worth the money and effort. A good 3" high volume headers for forced induction would give you good gains. Besides that I wouldn't bother with it.

There should be a FAQ or sticky about this already.
