dam tranny shift a little too hard when shifting from first to 2nd, what to do?

dam tranny shift a little too hard when shifting from first to 2nd, what to do?

so i have a drop resistor mod, but it is switched off. the tranny doesnt really shift that hard from 1st to 2nd but its annoying as fawk. i did a tranny flush back in january. what could be the problem? the DR wires are soldered

Are you saying its shifting harder than it used to (with the DR mod disabled?)...

join the club, mines been doing it for over a year and a half on my auto, it lessens after the car is driven for 15 minutes.

Yes - if its always been like that - then thats a "feature" of the automagic tranny. Mines been like that since I got the car (40k) and is still like that (111k). Mine is MUCH better when there are a lot of people in the car and also after warming up... try that sh*t - load up the car with all your friends and see if that makes any difference.

dam that fawkin sucks, its been happening since it got colder i notice. stuped tranny. o well its better a little too cold then a lil too hot lol

yeah mine used to do the same thing too. that is until i got the vb mod. now every shift is hard, not just the 1-2.

Mine does this when the car is cold. After it warms up it does not do it anymore.

Mine does the same thing, especially if its cold.
I thought tha cold is good for oue trans?

same here from 1-2 and sometimes 2-3.. I find that if I rev it up to 3k+. that's the only time it will actually shift smoothly. I guess its just how it is.

i have the DR wired to a WOT switch and i've also noticed lately that after the trans. has warmed up i still get a semi harsh 1-2 upshift. it's annoying as all get out. the more i drive this car the larger my hatred is towards auto trans.
