hey guys i have a 99 Infiniti I30 auto and was wondering if most mods made for Maximas will fit my car.....also i wanna start doin some things to my engine to make it faster and want suggestions...thx

 

Most any mod will work, the I30 is the same car. It is basically a Maxima with an Infiniti logo on the grille. (that's not a bad thing at all)

 

so wut should i start with???

 

start with a cold air intake by Place Racing but if u don't have enough $$ then buy a JWT or Stillen intake or else u can get a FSTB

 

how much $$ am i looking at here and how much power do i get out of it?

Cheap Set-up = $55-60 depends

well...there has been talk that they all produce same HP like around 5-8 but i went ahead with the cheap set-up...and then bought the CAI from Place Racing which arrived today...oh yea...the cheap set-up is exactly like the stillen and jwt set-up...but i don't think the cone is super fat as them but pretty big

 

do they make grills for I30? i saw a crazy one on a I30 on sprewell racing

How much $ are you willing to spend on your car? I think that's just a stock I30 grill that's been blacked out.

Thanks dude. Do you want just white gauges or the indiglo gauges? The indiglo gauges are white during the day and indiglo during the night. I have those on my car and they were $90 for the digital ones. Look at my car's homepage for pics

I believe that Maxima/I30 ECUs have to be reprogrammed, no plug in chip. Check www.maximadriver.com in the mods section on who does this.

ummm the chip is really expensive...i would rather do y-pipe and CAI instead of the chip...which i did...but if u want go ahead...ask cheston more about the chip as far as exhausts, do u want brand name or non-brand name...Stillen, Greddy, and HKS currently make cat-back systems for the Maxima/i30 but just goto a muffler shop, they will be cheaper hopefully...i think the name brands run around 400-500...my muffler shop wants 300 for exhaust and b-pipe.
