My interior illumination is fukked. When i turn on my parking lights and headlights, there's no lighting behind the odometer, hazard button, rear defrost button, shift column or climate control. i checked the fuses and they are straight, even my dome light won't come on. Funny thing is that my map light will come on, AND I haven't wired anything new to the car. I highly doubt all the bulbs are burnt.
What do you think could be wrong?

 

same problem here. i was just going to post the same question, the only thing is that only my climate control buttons and a/c buttons are not working, but the little lcd is. weird.

 

similar problem... all thats off is the leds behind all the buttons, everything else works... anyone have a clue what wrong with them?

 

Long shot but do u have a dim switch near the right side of the odometer and the wiper control arm? Its a lil dial it might be off ????

my dimmer's always cranked to the max, so it's not that, and i don't think all of my buttons are burnt out, but then my security light doesn't blink anymore either, the only things that light up on the dash are my cd player and my climate control, so what else could it be?... oh yeah all fuses are good

 

okay, i checked the dimmer switch and 1/2 of my problem is solved i dunno how that damn dimmer switch manages to get turned down. OKAY, so now, half of the buttons on my climate control don't light up when i turn on the lights. and there's no lighting behind the rear defrost button. imma try a new bulb in my dome light later on.

 

same here nothing works some one told me have to change bulbs but i dono which ones does it take i have 96 gle with auto climate control

lol everyonce in a while my dimmer thing gets turned down too, and i never touch it. i freaked out one day because none of my lights were one. my friend in the passenger seat reached across, turned it up and looked at me like i was a retard.

You see guys... the dimmer always gets touched when you clean the dash and the gauge cluster.... I bet you might accidently turn it... It happens all the time...

 

not me, im always readjusting the dimmer because i control the light output on my lcd during the day and night, so it cant be that. i guess no one really knows than.
